Why we recommend the PC Program to most of our customers
We’ve been Independent AMSOIL Dealers for long enough to watch hundreds of customers run through every possible scenario: one-time buyers, seasonal powersports riders, daily commuters on Signature Series, diesel towing rigs on Heavy-Duty, shop owners buying drums. The pattern that keeps showing up is this — the Preferred Customer fee is trivial compared to the downstream savings on any AMSOIL routine that repeats more than once a year.
Where we’re honest about the limits: if your AMSOIL spend for the year is a single quart of chainsaw oil, you don’t need a membership. Stay retail, enjoy the products, move on. Is there a membership fee?
Yes. AMSOIL charges a small, flat fee for the 12-month membership, and a lower fee for the introductory 6-month new-customer membership. AMSOIL publishes current pricing on their Preferred Customer page; we intentionally don't list dollar figures here so you always see AMSOIL's live numbers. Most households recover the fee inside the first order or two from member pricing alone.
Can I still get dealer support from you after I enroll as a Preferred Customer?
Yes — and enrolling through our referral link is how we stay connected to your account. You'll be a customer of AMSOIL INC. for billing, warranty, and shipping, but Havasu Synthetics remains your dealer of record. We can help pick viscosities, diagnose oil-related symptoms, answer powersports questions, or walk you through a specific order. Contact us any time.
What does "up to 25%" savings actually mean?
The exact percentage varies by product. Core consumer lines — Signature Series motor oil, Extended-Life, synthetic transmission fluid, motorcycle oil, gear lube, air filters — see the largest member-vs-retail gaps. Accessories and promotional bundles may be priced differently. The most honest answer: go price a representative order at AMSOIL.com both ways and compare the subtotal.
Do PC coupons stack with other promos?
Loyalty coupons ($5 per $100 spent) and the birthday coupon are tied to your membership account and stack with member pricing on qualifying orders. Promotional codes sometimes have restrictions listed on AMSOIL.com; when in doubt, the fine print on each promo is authoritative.
Can I cancel or opt out later?
The 6-month and 12-month memberships each run for their term. You are not auto-committed beyond that term — renewal is a separate decision (and free if you hit $500 in spend during the year). AMSOIL handles billing and account support; any cancellation question is best routed to AMSOIL customer service on the information printed on your membership confirmation.
Are shipping policies different for Preferred Customers?
The shipping policy itself is AMSOIL's — we reproduce it on our site for convenience. PC members get free standard ground shipping on orders over $100 USD (U.S., excluding AK and HI) or $130 CAD (Canada). Does the Preferred Customer program make sense for commercial or fleet buyers?
PC membership is built for end users. For commercial accounts buying in volume, AMSOIL has distinct Commercial Account and Retail Account programs with different pricing structures. Do I buy from you or from AMSOIL?
You buy directly from AMSOIL INC. Every PC enrollment, order, renewal, warranty claim, and return is handled by AMSOIL, not by the dealer. What's the catch?
None we're aware of. You pay a small annual fee for real member pricing, real free shipping thresholds, and real loyalty coupons on a product line that holds its margins better than automotive aftermarket average. The only bad fit is someone who buys less than one or two AMSOIL items a year — at that volume the membership math doesn't pencil out, and you're better as a retail customer.
